HERODION ODEON AND THEATER A ROMAN ODEON
Conservatory and theater built by Herodes Atticus in the 2nd century AD. In modern times, the works for its reconstruction have begun during king Otto’s reign (mid 19th century) and were completed in the ‘50s. Since then it houses important artistic events and every summer is the focal point of the annual Festival of Athens, which is one of the most important cultural events in Greece.
A Neoclassical historic monumental building of Athens that was built especially for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Today it is used as an exhibition and ceremony space.
